Stan Bronson is a seven generation Floridian, born in Orlando, with undergrad education done at Florida Southern College and grad work done at Florida Atlantic University and the University of Florida. Spending most of his career in the citrus industry, 14 years of which was COO of a large citrus operation, in 1999 he joined the extension faculty of the University of Florida, developing a natural resources education program for South Florida ecosystem restoration initiatives. That program has evolved into the Florida Earth Foundation, begun in January 2002. FEF is a public-private partnership of over 120 agencies, universities, industries and not-for-profits, whose mission is to “put people together through education, outreach and facilitation to ensure the environmental integrity of Florida and quality of life” Bronson now serves as Executive Director of Florida Earth, which administers Florida’s only permanent program with the United Nations, the UNESCO-IHE/Florida Earth Partnership. Florida Earth also runs the US-Netherlands Connection (USNC) program, which brings teams of delegates from the US to the Netherlands to see Dutch expertise in water infrastructure and management, especially as it relates to sea-level rise adaptation and resilience. Coming from a ranching family who supplied the land for Walt Disney World in the 1960’s, Stan’s love of the land has always been an inspiration throughout his career.
Jeramy Pritchett started taking pictures in the 2nd grade and was hooked. He loved the emotion that he could capture and the stories that each picture told. However, as he grew up he was tricked into thinking money was the key to happiness and having more and more was the right way to live. A few years ago he woke up and realized he had been very, very wrong. Now he's back to living his dream shooting photos, writing and running the first socially conscious photojournalism magazine in the world, Blindfold. A magazine he founded less than two years ago that is now in Whole Foods and Sprouts Farmers Markets across all of North America.

Research Focus: Design and Study of Coordination Catalysts for Small Molecule Conversion
CH4 (and other hydrocarbons) N2, O2, H2O and CO2 are among the most abundant raw materials on Earth. The chemical conversions of these small molecules generate the majority of the World's energy and materials. However, in spite of over 75 years of research, key fundamental chemistry challenges remain that lead to the generation of substantially more emissions, faster depletion of reserves, higher costs and greater dependence on petroleum than required. The focus of our research is to address these challenges and to design a new generation, Single-Site, coordination catalysts for the direct, selective, low temperature conversion of these molecules that would be substantially more efficient, lower cost and allow the use of abundant CH4 for the production of Energy, Fuels and Chemicals.

Jason McCobb is an expert in Sustainable Agriculture specializing in Urban Gardening. Jason gained most of his experience in Sonoma, California from Bob Cannard, long time farmer for Alice Waters and her critically acclaimed restaurant Chez Panisse. With the belief that the garden is an extension of nature and something that must be protected and nurtured, Jay never uses pesticides, synthetic chemicals or any other adversity.
In addition to the farming and building gardens, Farmer Jay has also started a program for children called Farmer Jay’s Jr Sprouts and an advanced program for older kids and adults teaching them the lost art of Sustainable Agriculture.
Jason built a sustainable garden for the chefs at The Breakers Hotel which digested over 3000 pounds per week of vegetable waste from the kitchen that he utilized to grow specialty salads, herbs, and micro greens on a half acre plot. Other noteworthy gardens Jay has built and done consultation for are, Calloway Gardens, Little St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Pine Jog Environmental Center, Palm Beach County Schools, various Palm Beach County private schools, Federation of Gardens, Herb Society of Palm Beach, Palm Beach County Extension/UF, the South Florida Fair, Sublime, Dig, Max’s Harvest, Kapow, Delray Community Garden, Boca Raton Community Garden, IPic, and Green Gourmet.
