Pedro Reis-Rodrigues, PhD is a molecular biologist working at the Scripps Institute to uncover the molecular mechanisms that cause us to age and develop age-related disease. Aging affects us all and is likely to be causal to the development of many illnesses that affect us. Although research on aging is a relatively new field in biology some insightful progress has been made that hint at the possibilities of delaying disease onset and even extending lifespan. Pedro’s research focusses on the basic cellular stresses that cause tissue dysfunction. In particular he has described that aging is accompanied by a loss in protein solubility with detrimental effects during lifespan. Using the model organism C. elegans, Pedro is currently trying to develop methods to discover new genes that are able to increase longevity.

Andrew McClary is an inventor and designer, with a degree in architecture from Ball State University, who has been working in broadcast television as an art director for over 20 years. He has designed and produced a number of very high traffic web sites for national television shows. He is also a very skilled animator and editor, producing show opens and graphics for numerous national television shows. He is also an inventor and builder of his own GT-40 replica, the EVGT-40 which is powered entirely by electricity. Mr. McClary has a soft spot for anything that goes fast and he can ride in it. He is also an accomplished private pilot.
High Voltage Hot Rods, Inc. was founded by Andrew McClary 2 years ago to turn classic cars into electric street beasts and to provide quality parts to others that wanted to do the same. Over the past 4 years he has been working on perfecting his car and working closely within the electric car community and is the president of the Gold Coast Electric Auto Association. Unlike many in the EV community, Andrew was part of a growing trend of adopters who saw the real potential for the technology for building cool fast cars not only ones which were good for the enviroment . He was not interested in many of the cars being offered. Inspired by the Tesla Roadster, Andrew’s dream was to put together an electric car using off the shelf components that a user could service.
He is also the executive producer and co-host of the television show Car Show Television which airs every Saturday in South Florida on The Auto Channel.

SHARE ROSS - CEO of SHAREROSS.COM, CREATIVITY EXPERT
When you think of a rockstar from the decadent and wildly amoral 80's the last thing you'd expect is an outrageously positive personality. Share Ross loves to give you the unexpected.
As the bassist in platinum selling all female 80's rock band Vixen she played dates all over the globe with Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, The Scorpions and more. A decade after Vixen broke up, she went on to surprise rock fans when she took up knitting and 2 years later published a knitting book, Punk Knits with a major publisher.
Share believes in creating your own luck. She never let 2 bankruptcies, divorce or a myriad of unsuccessful business ideas stop her. She's a walking testament that you gotta live in the now and let your inner rockstar guide you towards your true path.
Adventure and creativity are her life force and guiding light.
She found that the more open your heart the more you can receive. "It's never been about owning things. It was never about becoming a rockstar so I could own a big fancy house. It was always about creating a feeling. I love to experience life and to inspire others to do the same."
Call it freedom. Call it your life purpose. Call it pursuing your dreams.
Share calls it living with intention.
Dr. Lasmezas conducts research at Scripps Institute with a focus on Prion Neurodegenerative diseases.
Prion diseases are fatal neurodegenerative diseases affecting humans and animals. There is no cure for prion diseases. They are caused by an unconventional infectious agent called prion, which is thought to be composed mainly by a misfolded form of a host protein, the prion protein (PrP). In humans, prions cause Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease; in animals, scrapie has been known to ravage sheep flocks for two hundred years, and chronic wasting disease is of concern in the United States. The recent epidemic of bovine spongiform encephalopathy in the United Kingdom has caused major turmoil throughout Europe, and later, in other countries such as Japan, Canada and the United States, because the bovine prion disease is transmissible to humans causing variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. The transmissibility of the latter by blood transfusion created a novel public health issue.
Recent years have witnessed major advances in our understanding of the role of the prion protein and other host factors in prion replication. Our aim now is to devise intervention strategies based on blocking the neurodegenerative process on one hand, and prion replication on the other hand. The latter is part of a drug discovery program that we are running in collaboration with the Scripps Florida Lead Identification Division.
Prion diseases belong to the same group of protein misfolding neurodegenerative diseases as Alzheimer, Parkinson, Huntington’s diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and others. In all these diseases, a host protein misfolds, aggregates and becomes toxic to neurons. We use the prion protein as a model system and starting point to study the neurodegenerative mechanisms that cause these diseases. We aim to understand which form(s) of these culprit proteins cause the death of neurons, and to decipher the death program(s) that they trigger in order to devise neuroprotective strategies.

Prior to becoming a speaker and Professional Coach, Becky Woodbridge was the former President and Founder of a highly rated South Florida Real Estate Company, and was a 25-year major airline Zillion Miler in the aisles. In two distinctly different work environments, Becky saw commonality in the way that customer service is highly affected by poor communication and can limit successful results both personally and professionally. As the owner of a Real Estate company and a Flight Attendant for a major airline Becky had firsthand knowledge of the mood shifts between employees and the customer. Her very own mood created a company identity and is acutely aware of the shift in business. "Plane Speaking" Mood Matters is an interactive workshop that entertains, educates and empowers participants to unleash their extraordinary way of being to reach their fullest potential. Becky is currently the organizer for TEDxDelrayBeach, Contagious Optimism Live and Co-Author of CONTAGIOUS OPTIMISM! www.
Originally from Bangor, Maine, Becky Woodbridge migrated down the coast and has become an active participant in the South Florida business community. In 2007, she participated in Leadership Boca Raton and Leadership Delray Beach as a member of each respective Chamber of Commerce and formerly served on the Board of Aid To Victims of Domestic Abuse, Delray Beach Film Festival and Founder of Holiday Angels Foundation. Becky is a member of the National Speakers Association, Florida Speakers Association, American Society of Training and Development, and the International Coach Federation.
Becky currently resides in Juno Beach Florida, where she is often taken on long walks by her friend Benney, a Brittney and Golden Retriever mix.
